2021 CROOK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CENTRAL COMMITTEE (CCDCC) ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Technology/Social Media
- • Created new website – www.crookcodems.org
- • Established ActBlue account for online donations (donate button on our website)
- • Enhanced Facebook Page – www.facebook.com/CrookCoDems
- • Continued email communications with Precinct Committee Persons and Crook County Democratic Central Committee membership
- • Zoom utilization for virtual meetings during pandemic
Events
- • Monthly meetings have been held in person and zoom as conditions have allowed with programs presented by elected officials from state, county and city levels as well as Democratic Party of Oregon officials and employees
- • Crook County Fair and Prideville booths set up and manned by volunteers
- • Participated in Women’s March
Outreach
- • 21 Volunteers wrote 129 letters to first time voters
- • 40 Volunteers sent 151 quarterly letters of welcome letters to new Crook County Democrats
- • Members participated in phone banks throughout the year
Local Elections
- • 11 Democrats were elected to local boards and organizations PLUS several Crook County Democrats currently serve on volunteer city/county commissions
Ballot Measure Endorsement
- • Crook County Justice Center – endorsed by CCDCC – passed overwhelmingly in the 2021 special election
Volunteers
- • Many thanks to 4 Crook County Democrats who stepped up to represent our central committee and rural caucus at the DPO Platform Convention
- • Thank you to the 9 Bakers for Democracy who baked 18 pies and cakes for our dessert auction
Financial
- • Generous CCDCC donors gave cash, ActBlue donations, In-Kind donations, bought desserts at the auction, and end of year Oregon Tax Credit donations allowed us to finish 2021 in the positive and give us a great start to 2022
- • CCDCC has again been awarded the Check for Democracy Grant from DPO, giving us $400 additional to put toward our Get Out The Vote efforts
