Crook County Library Needs Our Support

Crook County Library Director April Witteveen spoke to the Crook County Democratic Central Committee at our meeting on Monday, November 21. The information she provided centered around a small group of citizens attempting to segregate age-appropriate gender-related books in the children’s and teens’ sections of our public library. Because we consider this censorship, a group of us planned to attend the County Court work session this morning (Nov. 29) but that meeting was cancelled. Therefore, we gathered in front of the administration building to show our support for our public library. If you are concerned about this effort, please contact members of the Crook County Court – you can find their contact information here: https://co.crook.or.us/county-admin/custom-contact-page/county-administration-contact-information
