Congressional District 2 Candidate Forum

Join us for a conversation with the Democratic candidates for U.S. Congress in Oregon’s 2nd Congressional District.

Our forum will feature the Democratic candidates running in the May 19 primary election: Chris Beck, Mary Doyle, Rebecca Mueller, Peter Quince, Dawn Rasmussen, and Patty Snow.

The winner will go on to face the Republican winner in the primary. The district, which includes Central, Southern, and Eastern Oregon, is among the largest in the country, encompassing roughly two-thirds of the state.

This event is an important opportunity for Crook County residents to engage directly with the candidates seeking this critical office.

The voting record of our current representative, Cliff Benz, shows a consistent pattern of support for policies that weaken democratic institutions, hinder economic growth, roll back public health and environmental protections, and jeopardize rural healthcare access and Social Security benefits for millions of Americans. He has also cut grants for child abuse and domestic violence programs.
